• Mouth cancer
• Laryngeal cancer (>20% of head and neck cancers)
• Throat cancers
• Salivary gland cancer
• Nose and sinus cancer
• Nasopharyngeal cancer 

 

Histology

Over 90% of cancers in the head and neck are squamous cell carcinomas.

 

Risk factors

• Epstein-Barr virus
• Alcohol consumption
• Tobacco smoking
