Life

• 1385 CE : Born in Amasya, Ottoman Empire (modern Turkey).
• Became director of the Amasya Dar-es Sifa Hospital for ~14 years.
• 1465 CE (aged 80) : Wrote his magnum opus.
• 1468 CE (aged 83) : Died in Amasya.

• 1465 CE : Cerrahiyyetu'l-Haniyye (Imperial Surgery). An illustrated atlas of surgery and dentistry. 412 pages. 191 topics. 3 chapters. 3 copies exist today, but each is incomplete and different.
