Causes
- Thyrotoxicosis (Cardiogenic)
- Hypothyroidism (Cardiogenic)
- Acute adrenal insuffiency (Distributive)
- Relative adrenal insufficiency (Distributive): Seen primarily in ICU. The adrenal glands are producing normal or above normal quantities of adrenal hormones, but they are failing to produce enough to meet the extreme demand (e.g. during septic shock).
