Actinobacteria

Actinobacteria is a class of bacteria
Most species in this class are Gram-positive. Pathological Mycobacteriaceae and Nocardiaceae species are acid-fast.
There is evidence to suggest that the oldest living organism on Earth may be a Siberian species of Actinobacteria (around half a million years old).
