Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase

Also known as anti-tTG.
This is a test for an antibody (immunoglobulin) in the serum. 

 

Clinical indications:

First choice of screening test for Coeliac disease.

• Endomysial antibody (IgA + IgG) to confirm positive anti-tTG and to exclude serological positivity in the presence of IgA deficiency.
