Group B Streptococcus species
GBS can cause:
- Chorioamnionitis
- Postpartum infections
- GBS urinary tract infections (UTIs). UTIs may induce labour and cause premature delivery and miscarriage.
- Neonatal septicemia
- Neonatal pneumonia
- Neonatal meningitis
