Hypersexuality

This refers to pathological levels of libido and sexual behaviour. These patients often behave in a manner which is charismatic, flattering, seductive, flirtatious, or sexually aggressive.

Risks

  • Vulnerability to exploitation
  • Increased chance of committing sexual offences, ranging from harrassment to rape
  • Contraction of sexually transmitted infections
  • Transmission of sexually transmitted infections
  • Damaging interpersonal relationships (inappropriate behaviour, infidelity, etc.)
