The Parkland formula

Purpose: to calculate the amount of fluid resuscitation necessary over the next 24 hours

Volume of fluid = total body surface area of the burn % x weight (Kg) x 4

E.g.
Volume = 25 x 60kg x 4 = 6000ml/24hrs
