[Upper gastrointestinal surgery] Introduction

Upper gastrointestinal surgeons specialise in diseases of the digestive tract, mouth, oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and biliary tract.

There is significant overlap with lower gastrointestinal surgery, gastroenterology and oncology.
